    Also located on the Baylor campus, you will find the Institute for Oral History, an award-winning museum that works to preserve oral histories of events in Texas and points far beyond. They do this by conducting extensive interviews with people who experienced historic events first-hand and making those fascinating interviews available to the public. You can find more than 4,000 oral history interviews in their online collection or visit in person for a workshop to learn more about all of the fascinating work that takes place at the museum.

  • Dr. Pepper Museum – 300 S. 5th St., Waco, TX 76701
    If you're searching for a fun museum that kids will love, the Dr. Pepper Museum is the perfect place to start. Housed in a historic bottling plant, this museum examines the history of soft drinks through fun, hands-on exhibits and experiences. The museum features three floors of exhibits that cover the history of many popular soft drinks, along with a classic 1950s-style soda fountain where you can enjoy Dr. Pepper floats and other sweet treats.

  • Mayborn Museum – 1300 S. University Parks Dr., Waco, TX 76706
    Another museum within the Baylor campus that you won't want to miss is the Mayborn Museum. Enjoy cultural collections and exhibits that deep-dive into the archeology, ethnology, and history of the area. Their bioscience collections have made it a point to expand the collection with salvaged specimens from the Central Texas area. The Geoscience collection even includes a meteorite which landed in Mart in 1899. Make sure to keep an eye out for their special exhibits.
